Terms

Last updated August 31, 2026.

Recollis is invite-only software being built in the open by one person. These terms are short because the arrangement is: you keep your own copy, and nothing here is load-bearing yet.

Your account

Accounts exist by invitation and are for one person each. You are responsible for your password and for the access tokens you create — a token is a password that skips the login form, so treat it as one and revoke it from settings the moment you suspect it.

Your content is yours

Your transcripts and your recollections belong to you. Storing them here grants no rights over them beyond what is needed to run the service: keeping them, backing them up, showing them to you, and — only when you ask — sending a session to the drafting model described in the privacy policy.

What is not allowed

Do not store other people's private data here without their knowledge. Do not use the ingest API to push content you have no right to. Do not attempt to reach another account's data. Accounts doing any of these are removed without notice.

Limits

A single import is capped at 64 MB and 5,000 sessions, and the ingest API is rate limited per token. Drafting runs on a free-tier model with a daily allowance; when it is spent, the feature says so and the rest of the app carries on.

No warranty, and no promise of tomorrow

Recollis is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. It runs on one server. It may be down, it may lose data, and it may stop. Nothing here is a promise that it will still exist next year — which is exactly why export is a first-class feature rather than a compliance checkbox. Keep your own copy. To the extent the law allows, liability for any loss arising from using Recollis is limited to nothing, because nothing is what you have paid.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from account settings. Your accepting an invitation is your agreement to this page as it stood then; if it changes materially you will be told by mail rather than by a silent edit.
